I thought that Ozland was a very interesting idea for a film when I first glanced at it. A story about a city girl who goes to work at an amusement park. After watching the film, I was glad that I could put some time aside to go watch the film.
The film starts off really slow for my taste, but it really picked up near the end. The only reason why I thought it was slow was that the main character didn’t learn anything until the middle of the film. They even had time skips which made it feel extra slow. Besides that, it was a very heartfelt story and educational plot of amusement parks to my surprise.
As I it neared the end of the film, I realized that I was basically watching a documentary about a japan amusement park. If the film broke the fourth wall and gave more behind the scene of the park, it could pass as a documentary. It was interesting to see how these employees deal with these situations at parks and gives me more appreciation for making their each person happy no matter what.
The production for this film was really good. They really went all out. Then again, that was the point of the film to show how crazy these employees will go to make everyone happy and set up these over the top events. The events they created for the film were amazing and makes me want to go see these events for myself.
The ending of the film was very sweet. Each character had a happy ending and was happy with their position in the end. Plus, they brought the ending back to the beginning by repeating key moments. This shows the cycle of business and how a career can change someone. In this case, a good change.
