“Shiori is a star student with an incredible palate for wine who dreams of
studying winemaking in France. However, to her dismay she is assigned to
a rural sake brewery for her internship. To make matters worse, upon arrival
she discovers that the brewery owners don’t exactly want her around. But
when the brewery owner falls ill, and his upstart son is forced to take the
lead, Shiori may provide the spark that can save the brewery and change her own life in the process..”*
This movie was my favorite movie! This movie was interesting in the plot twist, will she end up with him? Will she even be accepted at the sake brewery?
It was awesome how this movie was able to accurately portray life and the daily struggles, with fear of new adventure, with acceptance, with being humble, and learning who we are supposed to be.
This movie provided me with underlying lessons, like you can adapt to a situation and come out the other end a better person, if only we try. This is not to say that it will be easy, but will be worth it. “Let’s begin by killing ourselves” is one of the first lessons Shiori was instructed about. Like many things it takes time for her to understand what the head brewer meant.
I will leave you with another thought from the movie, “love sake, and love someone.”
I think this movie is amazing! I give it 5/5 stars!
