My friend, Dannie, saw the “The Pa Boys” and I interviewed her asking questions like what it was about, her likes and dislikes, how she heard about HIFF and whether she would recommend it or not.
I created this video review in iMovie and the quality of the video was not that great because I filmed using the camera on my laptop, but I figure it’s the content that is most important anyway.
Music: Inspiration – Fran Kora
Synopsis: This film is a contemporary story of a reggae band on the road. On the surface Danny has everything, except for a sense of belonging. Tau, on the other hand, knows his history, his culture and his place, but with that knowledge also comes a burden. As the band continues their tour, personal insecurities threaten to overwhelm their musical connection that typically comes pretty natural to them. Their travels expose Danny and Tau to a spiritual history that cannot be avoided and unresolved events from their past must be confronted. The connection to the music and the spirit world makes sense of life and death for Danny, who must step out of the shadows on this journey to self-discovery.
