If you live on Oahu and want to know more about the process of arranging a film festival, an internship at HIFF might be something for you! HIFF offers several different positions for their interns and the possibility to work close with the festival staff. A commitment of 15 to 40 hours per week is the only requirement , and although it is not paid you will gain school credit and a lot of knowledge.
The different fields within a film festival that HIFF has to offer to their interns are: Design/Graphics, Development/Sponsorship, Education, Operations, Outreach/Communication, Programming, Special Events/Seminars and Travel/Hospitality.
I had the pleasure of talking to one of HIFF 2012’s interns, Joshua Huaracha. Here’s what he had to say about this year’s festival.
If you are interested in an internship at Hawaii international Film Festival, send a resume and a cover letter, with the position you are interested in, to firstname.lastname@example.org.
