I got to enjoy the comedy horror Fresh Meat, in the words of director Danny Mulheron, “a tasteless subject in the most tasteful way possible.” Which it really was, at first I was hesitant after “lesbian and cannibalism” were its main points of description. BUT once the film started, I was amazed by the whole production!
Fresh Meat is a comedy horror film in New Zealand about a modern-day family of Maori cannibals who are taken hostage by a gang of criminals. Of course, a major turn of events arise as the gang end up dinner! There was nothing too gory, too insane, or grotesque. It was all eyes on the action packed screen, full of laughs and entertainment- even during Q&A! There was a vivacious energy amongst the crowd, director Danny Mulheron charmed us all with is witty humor. He later passed out posters, where you can see him signing mine on the theater floor below!! I think this film is definitely gonna be a hit when it premieres October 25th in New Zealand..
Oddly enough, the film left me inspired to go visit! 😛
