My first movie at HIFF was a movie called My Last Day Without You. Sophie and I went together to enjoy a Sunday Night movie. I had no idea what the movie was about, but I was excited. I was really surprised when we go to the Dole Canary how big it was and how many people that was there on a late Sunday night. We got some water and some iced tea in the HIFF lounge and walked around filming and taking some pictures here and there until the movie started. The movie was a classic love story but with a new view and look. I was mostly filmed in Brooklyn, NY, and for once it was a movie about real people and real values in life. Not just another stuck up, perfect love story from a perfect job and perfect apartment in Manhattan. It was a breath of fresh air. After the movie was done, the main actress, Nicole was there along with the director and writer. People got to ask questions and it was a nice dialog between the audience and the crew of the movie. It was interesting to see the “real” life people after watching the movie. A great experience!
