THE BULLY PROJECT: REVIEW
By: Michael Paranada
I’ve recently seen “The Bully Project” which was a phenomenal documentary about the trials and tribulations, which bullied teenagers of the ages of 10-17, have to deal with. The film followed 5 individual children and families who have been haunted by the presence of bullying within their school system. Each documented child covered a different aspect of the bullied youth (Homosexuality, Abnormal defects, mental disabilities, timid personalities, etc).
Another aspect of this subject covered by this film, is “suicide awareness”. Hundreds of young people commit suicide because of the mental disturbances due to constant conflicts with other students. This film has definitely enlightened my view of the current bullying problem within the youth. I feel that throughout the last couple years, we (Americans) have made strides with the isolation and discontinuation of bullying. It’s a great documentary which enlightened the audience to the actuality of bullying.
