Briar March was the director, producer, cinematographer, and editor of the film: There Once was an Island: Te Henua E Nnoho. In the video, Briar discusses the passion and dedication she had to produce such a great film in Papua New Guinea. She also directerd the documentary: Allie Eagle and Me, as well as several music videos, magazine shows, and commericals. While making this film, she was assisted by Lyn Collie in the producing of this film.
Briar told the audience that the movie was not easy to film due to various obstacles they had to encounter, but was glad to have been able to inform other people about the struggles the Takuu people are experiencing in keeping their culture alive. She also made the comment that it was such a blessing to have been on the island at the exact time to catch one of the largest floods to have ever hit the Takuu on film, considering it very rarely happened on such a such a tragic level.
